It's pretty simple, really. (We're surprised no one created this
earlier.)
(patent pending)
1.
We periodically take a unique "digital content fingerprint" from the TV program contained within the broadcast feed. The unaltered TV program travels freely through the
cable operator (or any other method of delivery) and down to a web‑connected TV.
2.
Our servers convey simplified fingerprint data to the TV where our technology detects the digital content fingerprint in the broadcast stream and notifies our servers .
3.
Our servers then notify the TV of any upcoming event, be it a TV widget that is to be run in-sync with the TV show, or a broadcast advertisement to be replaced seamlessly with a web-delivered targeted ad — all with frame accurate precision.
